Cat Centre Andheri
Cat Centre Andheri (CCA) is a self-funded setup helping sterilise as many stray cats as possible at the lowest cost needed to sustain our operation. We are associated with the best surgeons in Mumbai who are willing to operate them at a low cost. We spend any money we receive for the welfare of stray cats – NOT for profit. We take the cats a day before the surgery, and keep them for 3 days, managing their post-operative care, medicines, etc. About 95% of them heal within that time because of the quality of the surgeons we use.
Population monitoring and control
We run a humane TNR program to protect stray cats by trapping, vaccinating, and sterilizing them before returning them to their environment. This prevents overpopulation, reduces disease, and ensures a healthier, stable cat population.
Rehabilitation & Rehoming
By offering medical care to sick and injured stray cats and finding loving homes for those in critical need, we strive to give every cat a fair chance at a healthier, happier life. Our efforts focus on rehabilitation, ensuring that disadvantaged cats receive the necessary treatment, care, and support to thrive and reach their full potential.
Education and awareness
We promote stray cat welfare in Mumbai through community events, volunteer initiatives, and education. Our goal is to foster compassion, dispel myths, and encourage responsible caregiving. Through workshops and awareness drives, we inspire advocacy and humane treatment.
Caring for Stray Cat Communities
We support and collaborate with dedicated cat feeders in Versova who provide nutritious food, first aid, and a safe environment for street cats. By working together, we ensure these cats receive proper care while also assisting in humane trapping and sterilization efforts. This approach helps control the stray population, improves their well-being, and fosters a compassionate community for these cats.
